A Tale of Pandemic Struggle
Mar 19, 2024 8 months agoIn the village, the Covid began spreading The scene was pitiful and heartbreaking: Grapes became sick with dizziness, Apples laid down trees so helpless. In garden, became fruits show: Flowers and trees bent low, The leaves fell to the ground, Coming together in a mound. Pumpkins lying on the fields Having an ache on body shields. Short of breath on the pears, Crying loudly with some tears. Some fruits are well-being, don't despair The figs remained, hanging in the air The virus swept through the cornfield, Leaving behind patient yield. The mulberry tree waved its branches, As if in a dance, taking chances. But no any harm has been seen, For the carrots and the beans. Gardener, gardener, come here! Vegetables and fruits need care They want to be fresh and shiny, Sweet, juicy, yummy and clear!
Knowledge is power
Sep 15, 2023 1 year agoMarch 16, 2020, was the day when the quarantine was announced in Uzbekistan. I remember it like it was yesterday, everyone was engulfed in anxiety, and all the people were worried and afraid. We had just started a new chapter in our married life, and the sweet moments of our lives had just begun. Television news programs, radio, and the internet were constantly reporting on the number of people affected by COVID-19 and the number of deaths in various countries. The observation of how many people are being separated from their loved ones on television was remarkably poignant. Imagine the condition of a person who witnessed their loved one suffering from COVID-19: he helps as much as possible, but the illness quickly weakens the patient, causing their joints to ache, draining their entire body of strength, and leading to a state of exhaustion... It seemed to me that life was ending, all our pre-wedding dreams seemed to vanish into thin air. I was deeply saddened and very tearful. During such a gloomy time, one day my spouse called me over. He had a diary and a pen in his hand. We sat down together in the living room. He told me to write. I puzzled and asked him what to write. He said to write down our aspirations, plans and everything based on our dreams. Then we discussed our goals and wrote them down. We also talked and were in agreement about certain things: not dwelling on negative thoughts, avoiding sensational news on social media, engaging in regular exercise, and finishing at least two books per week... Believe me, life became colorful and meaningful from that day onwards. My spouse and I started competing in reading many books. We not only read books but also took notes important parts for us. Every Sunday, we would share our ideas and thoughts with each other about books we had read. The books we read covered a variety of topics: business, health, personal development, and literary works. Furthermore, my spouse and I are both English teachers and we had only one learning center at that time, where various subjects and foreign languages were taught. Due to the quarantine, we were forced to close our learning center as well. We thought about finding a way to make money without leaving home, so we created an online platform and organized online classes. Not only us but all the teachers at our learning center started conducting online classes. The quarantine period, which was the most challenging time in my life, turned out to be the most enriching and inspiring period of reading books. During the quarantine, I gained essential knowledge for my life and career. I refreshed my IELTS score and completed my master's degree online at Webster University in Tashkent. Life during quarantine taught me many things: to be creative, always have hope for the future, never stop learning. The knowledge we gained during quarantine led us to many successes. Currently, classes at our learning center are conducted both online and offline. We have managed to increase the number of branches of our learning center. I believe that when anyone reflects on their memories during the quarantine tears come to their eyes, they appreciate the difficulties they faced at that time and are grateful for their survival and the lessons they learned. I believe that triumph always follows challenges. Most importantly, when faced with challenges, a person should be patient, and resilient, and never lose hope, and the main key is to never stop acquiring knowledge! I was convinced that the power of knowledge to bring people out of the darkness to light.
The reward of the Covid 19
Mar 19, 2022 2 years agoOur long-awaited wedding day was marked and our wedding was unforgettable and luxurious as in fairy tales) But unfortunately, after our wedding, quarantine began and we had to stay at home. I was very depressed at that time: I felt like I was trapped in a cage cutting off from the world. After I got married, I was looking forward to becoming a mother, and exactly a year later, I got pregnant. I had just graduated and was working as an English teacher in college. I grew up very healthy from a young age, and I could hardly remember being sick. My little happiness-unborn child was 6 months old and I enjoyed by feeling its actions. But I felt very weak, my bones had acute aches, and I lay down more and more unwilling to do anything. Thinking I was deficient in necessary vitamins, I started taking them. But one day I got so sick that I couldn't even drink water and vomited blood. My husband took me to the doctor immediately. The doctor listened to my health complaints and asked me to take a test on Covid and she warned me if Covid were identified on me, I would have to โseparate' from my baby otherwise it might be born with disability. I was taken analysis to test it. We had to wait a day for the results to come out. It was the longest, heaviest, and most tearful night in my life. After reading Covid symptoms on the internet, I was convinced that I was Covid. The next day the analysis identified and I was diagnosed with Covid. The world went dark for me, thinking that I would lose the little happiness that I had been waiting for so many years. My husband tried to make me laugh and cheer me up. I just cried and didn't know what to do. When my mother and brother were informed about this terrible news, they came to our house. Since they were both doctors, they started a strong treatment for me. I was isolated and only my mother would come up to me and feed me, inject, and give medicine. She swelled up as she cried a lot and she prayed for my recovery. After about ten days, my condition was improved and nearly recovered. But my baby in my body was barely moving. I was so scared that something had happened to it. I underwent a medical examination and it was detected that everything was in place and the child was sleeping a lot. It is obviously fact that all people had and still have some challenges and tough moments during the Covid; it caused to the separation of the people, some lost their close-knit friend or family members. People learned to be more tolerant and to hope for bright days. Luckily, my baby was born healthily. Covid seemed to me like the scariest dream in my life. As all things happen for the reason, this incident also taught me to be more patient, resilient, and powerful. I became more careful for my health. And because of my tolerance and strength, I was rewarded with a baby girl during the Covid 19. Now, I am the lovely mother of a honey-sweet and pretty daughter.
