Life during a pandemic

The coronavirus pandemic, dubbed Covid-19, was first identified in the winter of 2019 in China. At the very beginning, people did not think that the situation would go beyond the city limits and they would lose control over it. After that, the city was closed for quarantine and severe restrictive measures were introduced throughout the state. At that time, the people of Uzbekistan did not take this situation seriously. When the first cases of Covid-19 began to be detected in the spring, Uzbekistan announced strict quarantine. A ban was imposed on holding any events so that people would not gather in one place to prevent the risk of infection. The concept of self-isolation spread, then people closed themselves in their homes and did not contact anyone. Thus, it was possible to slightly reduce the growth of infected people. My name is Nozima Kenzhaeva. I live in Bukhara and study at the Bukhara State University. I work at the Bukhara Regional Infectious Diseases Hospital. After study, I go to work. Our hospital is now in quarantine mode due to the increase in the number of cases of coronavirus. According to doctors, the virus is transmitted by airborne droplets or contact. Most of the patients were elderly people with various chronic diseases. There were also young people among those infected. The main symptoms of the disease: fever, loss of taste and smell, severe fatigue, the appearance of a dry cough, which can be complicated by a severe form of pneumonia, which, with its rapid development, claimed many human lives. My mother also works in the Bukhara Regional Infectious Diseases Hospital as a nurse, he stayed at work overnight, it was only possible to talk on the phone. A few days later, they gave permission to open some grocery stores, because we cannot live without food. At the beginning of the pandemic, it was the spring of 2020, the drastic change in our lives was strange and scary. Nobody knew what would happen tomorrow. Everyone sitting at home just followed the news, what will happen in the future. I couldn't even go to the grocery store. It was as if the city had gone into a deep sleep, only a walkie-talkie was heard informing about compliance with the rules of self-isolation. Study and work moved online. It was not easy to get used to such drastic changes, but I believe that the transition to the online mode during the pandemic has made our life easier. After that, we did not have to go out for groceries or for our needs, we could order groceries, food and clothes for take-out at home. A little later, in the summer, a sharp increase in people infected with the coronavirus began, most in a severe form of pneumonia and many were connected to oxygen machines. At the end of July, our whole family fell ill with the coronavirus. We're isolated and treated at home. I remember when it was difficult for us to find the necessary medicines, we stood in long queues at all pharmacies. It was soon announced that doctors and professors from China and Russia had produced a vaccine. When Uzbekistanis started receiving the vaccine, not everyone had a positive effect. After receiving the vaccine, people had fever, fatigue, and there were also deaths. In my personal opinion, these vaccines worked well for those people in which the vaccine was produced in the locality. Because these vaccines were created in different environments, different climates can and so the vaccine has adversely affected some people. For example, the body of people in China and Uzbekistan is distinguished by its individual properties inherent only to this organism. Each organism has its own individual reactions to environmental factors. Nature has benefited from a decline in actions that hurt our environment. This experience has also taught me to enjoy the little thing in life that we take for granted. I learned that adapting is the best form of survival, I cannot predict what the future but I`m certain whatever it would be, I would do my best to enjoy every single minute of it. I am strong believer the human spirit is capable of creating positive change and I`m sure we will overcome this situation.
