I don't want you to love me back

I don't want you to love me back. I stare blankly at the moonlit ceiling, Hear it serenade through the night The sound of which makes me a little sleepy But not enough. Some nights I dream of the day my eyelids will give in finally tired of keeping me awake Night after night and my eyes will stare Perplexed into the dark unknown. The song will fade to gray and I'll unwontedly be at peace. I don't want you to love me back For it will only be a thought pacing back and forth in my mind Ricocheting off the walls of it turning into a voice screaming in my head. Somewhere deep down, I secretly wish of you being here, For the pain that's been with me for way too long, now, somehow feels good. And after all that happened Or did not happen, I'd be lying if I told you that I don't want you to love me back. -Proserpine
