Diana Leon Brown was appointed Chief of Staff of the Maryland Aviation Administration (MAA) and is responsible for guiding all external affairs related to MAA.

This includes providing executive oversight for the following functions:

-State and federal affairs including -Legislative and business matters

-Corporate and civic affairs

-Marketing and public relations activities

-Air service development coordination

-External communications

Diana is an experienced executive with over twenty years of experience in strategic partnerships, advocacy, external relations, and program management with a proven ability to create and maintain strong relationships with government and private-sector organizations. She is highly-networked and well respected in the federal and state governments.

After earning her undergraduate degree in Economics at Harvard University and her MBA at the George Washington School of Business in Finance and International Business Marketing, she began her career as a management consultant for businesses expanding in the European Union. She later went on to serve in roles such as the CEO of the Nonprofit Roundtable of Greater Washington; the Executive Director of the Artem Leadership Institute; Director of the Women’s Global Initiative and Director of Strategic Partnerships of Prince George’s County, MD.

With her extensive experience and expertise, she has become a respected voice in the field, known for her strategic insights and international commitment to the professional advancement of women.

Diana also serves on the DC Council Board of Vital Voices is a devoted mentor and role model, providing guidance and support to the next generation of female leaders. She understands the importance of creating opportunities and empowering women to break barriers and shatter glass ceilings. Her ability to articulate shared threads and convey the value of diversity and inclusion make her a sought-after speaker and thought leader in the realm of women’s advancement.

Diana has received several recognitions of excellence including those from the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, The George Washington University Leadership Council and the Maryland Legislative Caucus.
