Life is Short

Perfect

Jan 03, 2020 4 years ago

I always thought that life was going to be perfect. I would have the best friends, grades, and boyfriend, but as I learned entering high school, that was only a dream. School started off good, and I had a few friends. However, I met someone named Justin. I was a cheerleader, and he was best friends with Adam, the guy I was talking to. He had known me from older friends, and seemed really nice. Me and Adam were going to go to the Winter dance together, and I thought I was set. He was rude to me though, and I was considering ending what we had. One night, I had a basketball game to cheer at, and I ask both Adam and Justin to come. Adam did not come, but Justin did. He had a way of making me happy. During half time, I went to sit with him, and told him I was going to be ending things with Adam, as he then asked me who, and I then said I liked someone else. He insisted on knowing, which I then said, him. He side hugged me and said me too. Which made my heart dropped. I was a freshman, and I thought I find the love of my life, but everyone thinks that. He kissed me that night, and we started dating, days later, which then lasted seven months. I thought I loved him, but he was toxic. We did have good times, and he did do whatever he thought I wanted, but he had made me choose my friends or him, and threatened my family, as well as manipulate me to believe him. All he did was hurt me over and over. We broke up so much. He played with my heart. My grades ended up being horrible, and I had no friends to help me through it. I choose this path, and I couldn't take it back. After a while, I moved away, and I started to get better. I started to understand that, life could be good, and that I could have good and bad things that happen, but I am the one that chooses what happens, and nobody's life is perfect, and through things that happen, you learn from them, and that is what makes us who we are. My life is good.
